What services is OC Animal Care currently providing?

  • OC Animal Care is currently providing limited services at our facility. Please see our FAQ for information on how to adopt, redeem, or license your pet and more.


What should you do to prepare for your pet in the event that you or a family member contracts COVID-19?

  • In the case that you or a family member contracts COVID-19, identify another person in your household or someone who would be willing to care for your pet while you recover. It is important to restrict your contact between pets if you have tested positive for COVID-19. Be sure to prepare an emergency kit for your pet with at least 2 weeks worth of supplies.

Have you lost or found a pet in the communities OC Animal Care services? You can call us to report your missing pet or if you have found a stray animal in your neighborhood.

Need help providing food for your pet?

  • Checkout this Pet Food Service List of local pet food banks in Orange County. Please call in advance to confirm they have pet food services available.

  • OC Animal Care is also hosting a monthly Family Fur-st Drive-Thru Pet Food Pantry for families in need, held the second Saturday of every month from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

  • Ask if your veterinarian accepts Care Credit, a credit card specifically for health care expenses, including veterinary care for your pet.

  • Try a fundraising platform such as GoFundMe, which enables you to create a personal fundraising page.

  • Consider Waggle, a pet-dedicated crowdfunding solution that channels funds directly to verified veterinarians for a pet’s care.

  • Look into pet insurance companies such as Nationwide and Eusoh that will benefit your pets in the long run if they need any additional medical care.
