**LARGE ANIMAL UPDATE**For residents who own horses and are no longer under evacuation order, we understand that you are eager to redeem your horses. As evacuation orders are lifted, we would like to provide each equestrian facility the opportunity to ensure adequate staffing is available to assist which will help with the safety and security of you and your horses. Furthermore, in order to avoid traffic congestion, we ask that you make arrangements to redeem your horses within 48 hours of the evacuation order in your area being lifted. Please ensure you have proper equipment to transport your horses and have photo identification or a current utility bill that includes your name and address. A number of horses were evacuated without their owners being present. In these cases, please bring photos of your horse and/or other proof of ownership. We understand that some impacted by the Canyon Fire #2 may not be able to redeem their horses at this time and/or may be in need of additional resources such as extended boarding for their animals. For information on additional resources or for assistance, please contact OC Animal Care at (714) 935-6848. Additionally, Anaheim Equestrian Center/Rancho Del Rio may be able to provide assistance for displaced horses. Please contact them directly at (714) 535-3510
